If you’ve been waiting to get the pure Android experience on your HTC One X via CyanogenMod, the wait is over, sort of. TripNRaVeR of the TripNDroid Mobile Engineering team has released a version of CyanogenMod 9 that is compatible with the new HTC One X. The ROM, which is built completely from source, doesn’t include any HTC Sense parts at all. Although most of the features are working properly, there are still a number of issues being worked on. For example, both the camera and Wi-Fi hotspot features don’t work. In addition, mobile data takes a long time to connect.
If you do decided to try out CM9 on your HTC One X, you will get working mobile network, GPS, Bluetooth, Bluetooth tethering, Wi-Fi, hardware video decoder, hardware acceleration, audio, and MIC.
Unfortunately, this version of CM9 for the HTC One X is only compatible with the Tegra 3version of the phone. We’re sure that a version for the LTE-capable Snapdragon S4 HTC One X will be made available at some point in the future.
